ARTICLE
My article page will be centred around the 'scandal' of the couple that is highlighted on my cover page and mentioned again on my contents page. I have chosen to do this in order to stress the importance of continuing my house style throughout the magazine, drawing attention to areas where it stands out most such as on the front cover and on the main article page which highlights the 'cover story'.

If one lie is enough to question all truths, how many secrets is Nicole Fairbridge hiding in her closet, in between her Chanel handbags and limited edition Balenciaga heels? For Nicole, it seemed enough was enough. “Nicole was distracted, she didn’t seem herself,” told a family insider, referring to Nicole’s distant attitude in the periods of her deceit. Nicole Fairbridge, wife of Harvard graduate plus booming billionaire Henry Fairbridge, was photographed locking lips with a man we are almost certain was not her promised prince- a man sporting a leather jacket- something of Danny Zuko and hardly Mr. Fairbridge himself. In an exclusive interview with Nicole in the flesh, guilt and heartache took a human form in this bluffing beauty- almost like a wife-scorned? Surprisingly enough, Nicole claims that all of her actions were dawning and that ‘Henry should have seen it coming’, which seems like an unlikely expectation from a man who “didn’t see his own wife” for over a month, shared Nicole.
Making humour of the situation, Nicole spilled a story of how she almost got caught in a big fat lie. Henry had just returned from the Dominican, where sweet Nicole was bundled up in bed wearing an oversized T-shirt that had man written all over it, except, not a man like Henry. This T-shirt was “a graphic 1985 limited edition Dire Straits Tee,” and poor, naïve Henry had thought him and Nicole both were Beethoven & Fauré fanatics. “He asked me where I ‘d misplaced my countless silk slips only to resort to such an unkempt rag”, clueless that he was referring to Nicole’s lover’s shirt. “All It took was an irresistible offering of a glass of his Macallan scotch,” Nicole gloated-”which I'm sure he craved more than his own wife.”
Pictured left, Nicole and Henry engage in unconvincing small talk all in a weak attempt to fake their infatuation with one another– except the camera saw right through it and a picture doesn’t lie, especially a picture snapped at a crowded carpark by a paparazzo, oblivious that he had just taken one of the most expensive photographs to date.
If the chummy couple were truly all that chummy, why were neither of them wearing their wedding rings? Or maybe the true burning question is where are they hidden? Rumor has it a Fairbridge diamond pawns at over $5.4 million. Maybe diamonds are forever, but who’s to say they can’t be kept away in a sock drawer until the cameras come out– or in this case, until the husband touches down in LAX.
It all started when Henry’s late hours turned into weeks, and when they turned months, Nicole turned cold. “Henry is always busy, I felt so alone and I need a man who made time for me” confessed Nicole.
It appeared as though Nicole took it into her own hands to find a quick replacement for her Harvard Hubby, when she spilled that even her “closest friends had no clue.”
It seemed the damsel in distress got tired of waiting for her “oh-so-busy” prince, and despite the roses and rings, not to mention a mansion full of very– very expensive things, Nicole just craved some tender loving care from a man “that was never really there.”

CHOOSING A PHOTO
I decided to use this image for my article for these reasons:
- The lighting is balanced and there are minimal shadows compared to the other photos
- I like the angle that the image was taken from as the models turned to face the camera, thus emphasizing the importance of the direct address
- The direct address from both models is effective and eye-catching to the reader
-The Image clearly presents the couple holding hands which juxtaposes with the main message of the article being a 'scandal.

Editing the image on Photoshop
My first step was to remove the green screen background from the image. I did this by using the Magic Wand Tool and the Quick Selection Tool, adjusting the tolerance whilst focusing on smaller areas such as fine hairs and between fingers.
My next step involved placing my image onto my chosen background. I chose this background due to the 'personal' setting, which creates a connection between the reader and the article. Furthermore, the green plant in the top right corner can be used within the colour scheme of my article by selecting that colour for my text box fills.
In order to place my image onto this background, I created a layer copy of the image onto the background and adjusted the placement to where it looked most realistic.
Next I added a drop shadow using the blending tools in order to make the image look even more realistic and believable. Then I used the blur tool on a low opacity in order to blend the image with the background further.

My next step was to change the 'paparazzi' picture in the bottom right of my article to my own photograph.
My final step was to change the text in the top right of my article as I received feedback that I should chose a more interesting section of the text in order to attract and interest the reader.
I decided to use this instead: “ Rumour has it a Fairbridge diamond pawns at over $5 Million. Maybe Diamonds are forever, but who’s to say they can’t be kept away in a sock drawer until the husband touches down in LAX”
